Job summary

Next Youth Job in Winnipeg, MB is hiring a full-time permanent Baker to join our team as soon as possible. You will prepare dough for pies, bread rolls and sweet goods, bake batters, frost and decorate cakes, and oversee inventory in a busy convenience-store setting. Wage is $20/hour, 40 hours per week, Mondays through Fridays.

Anticipated start date: as soon as possible. Requirements include English communication skills, 1 year of related experience, and Baking/Pastry Arts or equivalent

Qualifications

• English communication skills.
• Baking and Pastry Arts/Baker/Pastry Chef -or equivalent experience.
• 1 year work related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dough for pies, bread rolls and sweet goods.
• Batters for muffins, cookies and cakes.
• Requisition/order materials, equipment and supplies.
• Bake mixed dough and batters.
• Prepare special orders.
• Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
• Ensure that quality of products meets established standards.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas.
• Operate machinery.
• Organize/maintain inventory.
• Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
