Job summary

Food World Plus in Mississauga, ON is seeking an experienced baker to join our grocery store bakery team. You will prepare breads, pastries, cakes, cookies and other baked goods, following recipes and maintaining quality.

In-office environment with shift flexibility including mornings, weekends, holidays. Ideal candidates bring bakery or grocery store experience, strong food safety knowledge, and pride in presentation.

Qualifications

• Previous bakery or grocery store baking experience required.
• Experience preparing breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Good attention to detail and product presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.

• Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality.

• Stock and maintain attractive bakery displays.
• Monitor inventory and minimize product waste.
• Check freshness and quality of ingredients and finished products.
• Assist customers with bakery selections and special orders.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and other bakery duties.
