The opportunity

Manulife is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Engineer with SDLC production environment experience using NodeJS (Nestjs Framework) with ReactJS and Nextjs to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications, working on both frontend, backend, and cloud tools. Collaboration with multi-functional teams is essential to deliver high-quality, scalable, and performant software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain end-to-end application stack which includes frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure for the application.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the design of new features and systems.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and industry standards.
• Debug and resolve technical issues and bugs with multi-functional teams.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in full stack software development in a production environment using NodeJS (Nestjs Framework) with ReactJS and Nextjs.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terraform Workspaces).
• Experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, Azure, containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git).
