Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Calculations Squad. You will develop and maintain life insurance calculations in ProductXpress and across the illustration platform, using C#, .NET, F#, React, and microservices.
You’ll design, test, and support full-stack capabilities, build RESTful APIs, containerize with AKS, and contribute to architecture, tests, and CI/CD in a cloud-native environment. Hybrid in Waterloo, Ontario.
The Individual Insurance Offer Team is a diverse, collaborative group that builds and evolves the technology supporting our web-based life insurance illustration experience. We are seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Calculations Squad and develop capabilities that help advisors and customers make informed life insurance decisions. Your initial focus will be developing and maintaining insurance calculations in ProductXpress. As your knowledge grows, you will have opportunities to contribute across the broader illustration technology stack. You will work with software engineers, quality engineers, business analysts, product owners, and other technology partners to build secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions using C#, .NET, F#, React, microservices, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). This role offers the opportunity to work with complex business and calculation logic, strengthen cloud-native engineering skills, and contribute to the continued evolution of a business-critical platform.

Referenced Salary Location Waterloo, Ontario Working Arrangement Hybrid Salary range is expected to be between $86,100.00 CAD - $136,100.00 CAD Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
