Swim Recruiting seeks an Intermediate Accountant with 2–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience for a private real estate development company in West Vancouver, BC. You will own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities, support daily accounting tasks, and ensure accurate reporting across multiple entities.

The ideal candidate brings attention to detail, initiative, and a collaborative mindset, with exposure to multi-currency and multi-company transactions.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of intermediate accounting experience required.
• GST filings and T-slip preparation experience preferred.
• Certinia/FinancialForce and Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with multi-currency and multi-company transactions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting for the company and related entities.
• Support daily accounting activities.
• Maintain audit trail and filing of source documents.
• Execute month-end close: journal entries, reconciliations, schedules.
• Review data for accuracy and address management inquiries.
• Prepare and file GST returns and assist with tax slips.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and controls.
• Assist with audit prep and external coordination.
• Provide guidance to junior staff.
• Assist in internal financial statements and management reports.
• Review data for accuracy and consistency prior to submission.
• Support variance analyses and ad hoc analyses.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes.
• Support integration/maintenance of Certinia and Salesforce.
