Job summary

AviSina Properties Ltd. in Burnaby invites applications for an Accountant to join our family-owned real estate group.

You will manage accounting records for the management company and subsidiaries, handle full-cycle AP, prepare monthly journals, reconciliations, GST returns, and support payroll and year-end close. We seek a degreed accountant with at least 3 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency in MS Office; Yardi experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum 3 years of full cycle accounting experience.
• Proficient in MS Office; intermediate Excel; Yardi experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accounting records for the management company, corporate entities, and subsidiaries.
• Process full-cycle accounts payable including invoice coding, approvals, payments, and vendor reconciliations.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries including accruals, prepaids, amortization, and intercompany transactions.
• Manage intercompany accounts and bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare GST returns and support monthly financial reporting, cash flow reporting, and management reporting.
• Support payroll processing and related accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations, schedules, and audits/tax requirements.
• Assist the Controller with accounting system implementation, process improvements, and other corporate accounting initiatives.
