Job summary

Burke Recruiting Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant for a Vancouver, BC hybrid role. You will oversee full‑cycle accounting for a multi‑property portfolio, prepare monthly and annual financial statements, and ensure funder reporting and compliance while partnering with a Controller in a lean team.

The role requires CPA and 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in nonprofit or housing contexts. You’ll drive process improvements, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with operational teams

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; multi-property, nonprofit, housing, or fund accounting exposure is an asset.
• Strong reconciliations, financial statements, variance analysis, and audit support experience.
• Advanced Excel skills; confidence with Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar systems.
• Ability to work independently, move quickly, and communicate clearly with non‑financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities
