Job summary

The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory is seeking a Front-Line Worker at Florence Booth House to deliver direct support to The Gateway clients. You will provide resources to residents, maintain a safe environment, and ensure alignment with mission and values.

Responsibilities include admissions, intake, SMIS documentation, meal distribution, medication storage, and referrals. Must have high school diploma in social services, CPR/First Aid, and crisis intervention training where

Qualifications

• High School Diploma in Social Services or related field.
• Experience in frontline social service work is preferred.
• Knowledge of homelessness, addictions counselling and mental health is desirable.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Crisis Intervention training preferred.
• Police check clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Front-Line Worker provides direct support and resources to residents.
• Manage admissions, intake orientation, and adherence to house rules.
• Record keeping: SMIS, logs, and incident reporting.
• Distribute meals, snacks and personal items; monitor daily activities.
• Liaise with internal and external agencies for referrals and services.
• Assist with triage, safety duties and duty shifts as assigned.
