Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Charlottetown, PEI is seeking an adaptable associate to support health, beauty and convenience services. You will train cashiers, supervise merchandising, and help ensure superior customer service while upholding store policies and safety standards.

You’ll contribute to loss prevention, assist customers with product locations and returns, and participate in daily housekeeping, display setup, and clerical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or supermarket environments.
• Ability to train and guide cashiers and merchandisers.
• Strong problem-solving to handle customer inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cashier/merchandising staff comply with store policies and operating procedures.
• Trains cashiers/merchandisers in job functions.
• Provides on-going guidance and instruction.
• Ensures all loss prevention standards are implemented, manages daily cash office inventory and cashier tracking, tracking sheets, PC Optimum procedures.
• Answers inquiries regarding location of product, rainchecks, etc.
• Resolves customer issues according to established guidelines (refunds, exchanges, etc.).
• Promotes the CSI Survey.
• Maintains shelves clean and organized with proper rotation.
• Ensures product displays are set up and taken down as directed by the AFSM/FSM.
• Maintains standards of housekeeping and store image.
• Complies with Health and Safety requirements.
• May perform clerical and banking duties.
• Complies with all store policies and procedures.
• Complies with loss prevention policies and procedures and ensures they are executed in the store.
• Performs other duties including Cashier duties when necessary.
