Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is seeking a Front Office Supervisor to lead the Front Office team, maintain smooth daily operations, uphold high service standards, and support staff development.

Start Date: October 2026. Pay Rate: $27.68/hour. This permanent role offers opportunities to collaborate with multiple departments and deliver exceptional guest experiences in Banff National Park.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising front desk in a large hotel.
• Strong knowledge of property management systems and MS Office.
• Ability to coach and develop front desk staff and manage guest relations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily front desk operations including check-in/check-out and VIP handling.
• Lead, coach and develop front desk agents for service excellence and appearance.
• Resolve guest issues and ensure timely follow-up and service recovery.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, reservations, concierge, F&B, engineering to ensure guest satisfaction.

Job Description

Join our team as a Front Office Supervisor at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and take a key role in leading and supporting the Front Office team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You’ll be responsible for maintaining smooth daily operations, ensuring high service standards, and supporting the team’s growth and development.

Start Date: October 2026

Pay Rate: $27.68/hour

Position Type: Permanent

Job Duties Include

• Supervise daily front desk operations, including guest check‑in, check‑out, room changes, reservations coordination, and handling VIPs / special requests.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop front desk agents for performance, service standards, professionalism, guest relations, and appearance.
• Empower staff to resolve guest service challenges; track guest issues and ensure timely follow‑up and resolution (service recovery).
• Coordinate with other departments (housekeeping, reservations, concierge, food & beverage, engineering, etc.) to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience at a front desk / front office in a large hotel preferred
• Proficient with property management systems (e.g. Micros‑Opera or similar), and strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
