Job summary

S I Systems in Downtown Toronto (Hybrid) is seeking a Business Data Analyst to support investment management operations. You will analyze data from front-office platforms such as Aladdin and Bloomberg, and integrate Snowflake data to help reconcile and interpret investment data.

The successful candidate will combine investment domain knowledge with technical data analysis, using SQL and Python to query, transform, and validate data across multiple systems for trading and risk insights.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience; broader range acceptable.
• SQL experience: run queries and analyze data.
• Python experience: run scripts for data analysis.
• Strong understanding of investment management and front-office data.
• Experience with Aladdin and/or Bloomberg (data perspective).
• Business data analysis in asset management / investment management.
• Combination of investment domain expertise and data analysis.
• Ability to analyze data across multiple systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understand business meaning behind investment data.
• Snowflake experience.
• CFA Level 1–3 or equivalent investment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret data from front-office investment platforms and systems.
• Work with data from platforms such as Aladdin, Bloomberg, Snowflake, and other investment/data platforms.
• Analyze and reconcile data between different systems.
• Use SQL and/or Python to query, manipulate, and analyze data.
• Investigate data issues and determine business meaning behind discrepancies.
• Apply investment management knowledge when analyzing and interpreting data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and processes.
• Support analysis across trading and front-office functions from a data perspective.
• Contribute to data-related initiatives by combining investment domain knowledge with technical analysis.
