Banff Centre seeks a Front of House Usher to welcome patrons, enforce entry policies, and assist with seating and information during performances and events. The role supports Audience Services and requires quick problem-solving and a calm, friendly demeanor.

Shifts are primarily evenings and weekends, with potential daytime assignments. Applicants should be comfortable using mobile devices for scanning tickets and be able to stand for extended periods and lift light loads.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and guest relations experience.
• Ability to handle questions and provide information about Banff Centre and events.
• Willingness to work daytime, evenings and weekends as needed.
• Know-how to use smartphones for scanning tickets and event apps.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures is essential.

Responsabilités

• Welcome and engage patrons at performances and events.
• Enforce admittance policies and assist with entry and seating.
• Assist patrons needing Accessible Seating.
• Check venues for lost articles after events.
• Contribute to front-of-house reports on attendance and feedback.
• Assist in emergencies and guide patrons to safety.
• Coordinate with staff on scheduling and availability.
• Stay informed about upcoming performances and events.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
