Job summary

Denny's, Inc. is actively hiring a Server in Canada. You will greet, seat and serve guests, taking and delivering orders while ensuring total guest satisfaction. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a friendly, professional attitude.

You will work in a team-oriented, flexible environment with opportunities to grow and develop hospitality skills. The position may include late-night shifts and requires excellent guest service and math accuracy.

Qualifications

• Effective communicator in English, both oral and written.
• Team player, collaborative and attentive.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Excellent guest service and people skills.
• Self-motivated, organized and able to multitask.
• Basic math skills.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to stand and walk for 4–8 hours.
• Legally able to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Greet, seat and serve guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders; anticipate guest needs.
• Develop strong knowledge of menu items and products.
• Adhere to Denny's Brand Standards and internal policies.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.
• Be available to work late nights.

What We Are Hiring

As a Server, you are the face of Denny's. You will be greeting, seating, and serving our guests in a friendly and courteous manner. You will help by taking and delivering food and beverage orders, anticipating the needs of our guests, suggesting our meal items, receiving payments, and assisting other staff as needed. Our goal is to provide total guest satisfaction.

• You have basic math skills (e.g. add, subtract, multiply and divide)

• You can stand and walk throughout a 4 to 8 hour shift
• You must be able to legally work in Canada (as a citizen, resident or holding other current and valid work permit)
