Job summary

Netflix Animation Studios in Vancouver is seeking an Associate Technical Supervisor (Front End) to guide the technical direction of the early production pipeline. You will lead TDs, troubleshoot workflows, and develop tools to meet artistic and technical goals across multiple departments.

You will mentor teams, collaborate with the Technical Supervisor and Solutions Engineering, and ensure smooth integration with the pipeline and studio standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven pipeline TD experience in animated features, animated TV series, and/or VFX feature films.
• Strong Python skills (plus PyQt or another GUI toolkit) and USD knowledge a plus.
• Deep understanding of production workflows, DCCs, and production tracking tools.
• Experience with git/GitHub, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
• Degree in Animation, Film, CS, Design, Engineering, Math, or Physics, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand visual goals and design tools, workflows, and procedures for artists.
• Troubleshoot and optimize production workflows with existing or new tools.
• Test and validate tools; track and resolve issues with Technical Supervisors and R&D.
• Collaborate to improve pipeline and ensure cross‑department efficiency.
