Job summary

Netflix Animation Studios in Vancouver, BC, is seeking an Associate Technical Supervisor (Performance) to guide the technical direction of the production pipeline. You will partner with the Technical Supervisor, Solutions Engineering, and creative leads to shape tools and workflows for artists.

This role focuses on overseeing day‑to‑day pipeline troubleshooting, tool development, and cross‑department collaboration to ensure the show’s visual goals are met.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven pipeline TD experience in animated features or VFX.
• Strong Python skills with GUI (PyQt) and C++ knowledge.
• Experience with Flow Production Tracking tools like ShotGrid.
• Familiarity with DCCs, production tracking, and data flow concepts.
• Experience with git/GitHub, Jira, and Agile workflows.
• Degree in Animation, Film, CS, Design, Engineering, Math, or Physics, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Understand visual goals and design tools, workflows to enable artists.
• Troubleshoot and optimize production workflows with existing or new tools.
• Safeguard artist productivity by testing and validating tools and pipeline changes.
• Contribute to pipeline improvements across departments and ensure quality.
• Track development initiatives, manage estimates and deadlines.
