Job summary

Thrifty-Foods in Langford, BC is seeking a front-end supervisor to deliver exceptional customer service and oversee cash register operations in the absence of the front-end manager.

You will ensure policies and safety standards are followed, support team members, and maintain a positive work environment. Flexibility for overtime and standing for long periods is required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma is a valuable asset.
• You have at least six months of experience as a cashier.
• You have valuable management experience and knowledge of point-of-sale computer systems.
• You are customerservice-oriented.
• You foster communication and team spirit.
• You are proficient with basic accounting operations.
• You are known for your interpersonal skills and energy.
• Flexible work hours and ability to work overtime.
• Short-term exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.

• Ensure that customer service is exceptional.

• Apply policies and procedures,comply withgovernment health guidelines and occupational health and safety standards, and ensure they are consistently applied and adhered to by all department employees.

• Act as a resource person for team members.

• Create a work environment that promotes trust and communication within your team.

• Perform various cash register accounting operations (money transfers, deposits, checks, weekly audits, etc.) in collaboration with the front-end manager.

• Perform any other related duties.
