Job summary

Thrifty-Foods seeks a front-end supervisor to maintain exceptional customer service and oversee front-end operations in the absence of the manager. You will manage cash handling, support team members, and ensure adherence to policies and safety standards.

The role requires experience at the cash register, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work flexible hours with overtime. You will promote teamwork and contribute to a safe, efficient retail environment.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma is a valuable asset.
• Six months or more experience as a cashier.
• Management experience and knowledge of point-of-sale systems are valuable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure exceptional customer service at all times.
• Resolve cash register issues and secure cash in the safe in the manager's absence.
• Act as a resource person for team members and promote a trusting, communicative environment.
• Perform various cash register accounting operations with the front-end manager (money transfers, deposits, checks, weekly audits).
• Handle other related duties as required.

• Ensure that customer service is exceptional.

• Apply policies and procedures,comply withgovernment health guidelines and occupational health and safety standards, and ensure they are consistently applied and adhered to by all department employees.

• Act as a resource person for team members.

• Perform various cash register accounting operations (money transfers, deposits, checks, weekly audits, etc.) in collaboration with the front-end manager.

• Perform any other related duties.

What you have to offer:
