Job summary

Thrifty-Foods in Canada is seeking a front-end supervisor to deliver exceptional customer service and oversee daily cash register operations. In the absence of the front-end manager, you will resolve cash issues and secure registers in the safe while supporting the team.

The role emphasizes applying policies, promoting safety, and fostering open communication within the department. Experience with POS systems and a customer-focused mindset is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is an asset.
• At least six months experience as a cashier.
• Management experience and knowledge of POS systems.

Here'swhereyou'llbe focusing:

• Ensure that customer service is exceptional.

• Apply policies and procedures,comply withgovernment health guidelines and occupational health and safety standards, and ensure they are consistently applied and adhered to by all department employees.

• Act as a resource person for team members.

• Create a work environment that promotes trust and communication within your team.

• Perform various cash register accounting operations (money transfers, deposits, checks, weekly audits, etc.) in collaboration with the front-end manager.

• Perform any other related duties.

What you have to offer:

• A high school diploma isa valuable asset.

• You have at least six months of experience as a cashier.

• You have valuable management experience and knowledge of point-of-sale computer systems.
