Job summary

Thrifty-Foods is seeking a front-end supervisor to deliver exceptional customer service and oversee daily cash operations. In the absence of the front-end manager, you will resolve cash register issues and secure cash in the safe while maintaining policy adherence.

You will lead a team, foster strong communication, and ensure a safe, efficient, and friendly shopping environment. This position requires flexibility with hours and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Six months cashier experience required.
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Customer-service oriented with strong communication.
• Ability to work in a team and foster collaboration.
• Flexibility for extended hours and overtime.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 kg.
• Basic accounting skills are a plus.

• Ensure that customer service is exceptional.

• Apply policies and procedures,comply withgovernment health guidelines and occupational health and safety standards, and ensure they are consistently applied and adhered to by all department employees.

• Act as a resource person for team members.

• Create a work environment that promotes trust and communication within your team.

• Perform various cash register accounting operations (money transfers, deposits, checks, weekly audits, etc.) in collaboration with the front-end manager.

• Perform any other related duties.

What you have to offer:

• A high school diploma isa valuable asset.

• You have at least six months of experience as a cashier.

• You have valuable management experience and knowledge of point-of-sale computer systems.

• You are customerservice-oriented.
