We are a market leader in production optimization for the energy industry, delivering improvements through advanced physics, expertise, and data-informed AI solutions.

We are seeking a Front-end Development Lead to join our team. You will report to the Senior Software Development Lead and lead the design and development of scalable, cloud-native solutions for the oil and gas sector. Your role includes managing and mentoring a team of developers, fostering a high-performance environment, and aligning technical efforts with company goals.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance application software for our cloud platform.
2. Driving the evolution of front-end services and APIs, making architectural decisions to enhance functionality.
3. Collaborating across teams to deliver impactful features and ensure cohesive technical direction.
4. Leveraging open-source technologies and advocating for open standards.
5. Contributing to technical documentation and best practices.
6. Driving innovation through experimentation with new technologies.
7. Implementing Agile development practices and establishing coding standards.
8. Managing team progress, priorities, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
9. Guiding team members’ technical and leadership growth.

Qualifications:

1. 10+ years of experience from concept to delivery and support of features.
2. Proficiency in Javascript/NodeJS, React, and Python.
3. Experience with React frameworks like NextJS and server-side rendering.
4. Understanding asynchronous programming and related challenges.
5. Experience with Kafka, event-driven architecture, and non-relational data stores.
6. Familiarity with SQL databases and AWS cloud computing.
7. Strong understanding of scalable application design principles.
8. Proven leadership in guiding teams through complex projects.
9. BS/MS in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
