Job summary

Safeway in Vernon, BC is seeking cashiers who provide friendly, professional service and process transactions accurately. You will be part of a team that ensures a positive customer experience.

You will maintain the cash drawer, operate the Customer Service Desk, support training of junior staff, follow all company standards, and assist other departments as needed to keep operations smooth.

Qualifications

• Basic level of numeracy skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service processing transactions to meet customer needs.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer following company policies and procedures.
• Operate Customer Service Desk following all procedures for lottery sales, refunds, bottle returns and inquiries.
• Maintain Front End Department merchandise.
• Participate in the training of junior staff.
• Adhere to, and implement all applicable company standards.
• Support additional departments and functions with other duties as required.
