Job summary

Sobeys is seeking an Assistant Front End Manager to support the Front-End Manager in a fast-paced store environment. You will lead, coach, and develop staff while upholding food safety protocols, SOPs, and company policies.

The role includes scheduling, budgeting, inventory control, and training to drive customer satisfaction and store performance. You will foster a customer-centric culture, manage labour costs, ensure OH&S and regulatory compliance, and contribute to community engagement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 12 months of retail store experience or more.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate staff to achieve customer service excellence.
• Assist in scheduling, labour cost management, budgets, inventory control and merchandising.

The Assistant Front End Manager supports and assists the Front-End Manager in the efficient and fiscally responsible operation of the department. The Assistant Manager will lead, manage, coach, motivate and train staff to achieve the highest level of customer service, adherence to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, corporate policies and Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives. The Assistant Manager assists in scheduling, management of labour costs, budgets, inventory control, presentation and merchandising, and in the hiring and training of staff. The Assistant Manager will foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

What You Bring To The Table

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 12 months of retail store experience, in applicable department
• Exposure to reading and analyzing financial reports, and budgets
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Above average skills (both oral and written)
