Responsibilities
- Register arriving guests and assign rooms
- Resolve complaints and claims
- Process group arrivals and departures
- Take, cancel and change room reservations
- Provide information on hotel facilities and services
- Provide general information about points of interest in the area
- Process guests’ departures, calculate charges and receive payments
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
- Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
- Follow emergency and safety procedures
- Clerical duties (e.g. faxing, filing, photocopying)
- Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
- Assist clients/guests with special needs
- Contact customers to deliver requested wake‑up calls
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Provide customer service

Qualifications
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Language: English

- Assists with immediate transition needs (e.g. relocation, housing)
- Supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the civilian job market
- Offers flexible onboarding options to allow Veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace
Support for Indigenous people
- Participates in government or community programs supporting Indigenous people
- Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
- Develops and maintains relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous‑owned businesses and organizations
- Provides cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
- Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
