Job summary

Goodness Me! is hiring a full-time Fresh Foods Keyholder for our Hamilton – Upper Gage store location.

As the first point of contact for customers, you will greet shoppers, help locate items, and offer recommendations to enhance their shopping experience. In addition to customer service, you will assist with display and stock, participate in inventory management, and support store operations in the absence of the manager.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for informing customers about products and services.
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• The ability to stand for extended periods; up to 8 hours per shift.
• The ability to lift, move or manipulate objects up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility in availability, including, working evenings, weekends, and daytime shifts.
• Experience in a supervisory role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with locating items.
• Make recommendations to customers as appropriate.
• Ensure store conditions are maintained to established standards.
• Assist with merchandise display, replacement and rotation of stock.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Receive and process warehouse stock products.
• Manually load and unload materials from pallets and other platforms.
• As Keyholder/MOD, ensure store operations run smoothly in the absence of a store manager.

As one of the first points of contact for customers entering the store, your role primarily involves greeting customers, offering help in locating items and making any suggestions or recommendations that may be appropriate. Other tasks and duties you may perform include:

• Ensure store conditions are consistently upheld to established standards.
• Assist with display of merchandise, including replacing and rotating stock.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Receive and process warehouse stock products.
• Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, and lifting devices

As a Keyholder/MOD, your role is to ensure that store operations run smoothly in the absence of a store manager or assistant manager. Additional duties may include but are not limited to:

• Resolve customer complaints
• Complete Manager on Duty check list
• Check and log temperature checks
• Inspect and goods for incoming and outgoing shipments, reject damaged goods
• Ensure that all cleaning logs are being followed
• Support employees with questions or problems that arise
• Make end of day deposits
• Completing end of night closing lists
• Responsible for locking up and setting alarm
• Other duties as assigned
