Goodness Me! seeks an experienced Assistant Store Manager for the Hamilton – Upper Gage location. You will help run a well-managed store with focus on sales, labour, and waste targets, while coaching staff and maintaining high product knowledge.

The role includes recruiting support, training, and ensuring health and safety compliance, with flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Competitive pay and benefits available.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years management experience in retail.
• Experience working in a grocery retailer.
• Experience in maintaining operational excellence in retail stores (payroll, shrink and inventory management).
• Solid understanding of sales forecasts for establishing department targets.
• Proven leadership qualities and experience developing and leading team members.

Goodness Me! is currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager for our Hamilton – Upper Gage storelocation.

Reporting to theStore Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the running of a well-managed and visually appealing store, with a focus on sales, labour, and waste targets.

• Ensure unparalleled customer satisfaction, product quality assurance, store maintenance, and health and safety compliance.
• Manage the Cashiers and cash office.
• Assist with recruitment for all departments
• Collaborate to ensure the store achieves its financial targets
• Facilitate training and uphold company standards and procedures
• Coach and mentor employees to develop leaders
• Maintain broad product knowledge and ability to increase basket size
• Flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

What you bring:

• 3-5 years management experience.
