Job summary

Walmart Canada in Red Deer, AB is seeking a team-oriented retail associate to assist in Fresh department leadership and daily store operations. You will greet customers, promote products, guide purchases, and support merchandising and scheduling tasks under the Fresh Coach and Store Management Team.

Responsibilities include coordinating tasks, training, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and supporting recruiting and performance discussions.

Qualifications

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers politely and assisting with product needs.
• Assist in directing and coordinating task completion as per priorities from Fresh Coach and Store Management.
• Assess department presentation and merchandising and implement display changes.
• Communicate with associates, lead daily huddle, share updates and set goals.
• Review schedules with People Lead and assign coverage.
• Identify training opportunities during tours with Coach and team.
• Contribute to safe, clean, hazard-free environment following policy.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and support management.
• Support performance management and growth conversations for associates.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring new associates.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in Fresh areas and department processes.
• Plan and execute department activities based on workload and customer traffic.
• Assist on the sales floor as required.
• Ensure customer service excellence while ensuring task completion.
