Job summary

Oxford Learning Dollard des Ormeaux is seeking a part-time French Teacher/Tutor to help students turn “Je ne sais pas” into “Oh la la” and support French education outside the classroom.

Responsibilities include teaching up to three students at varying levels, delivering lessons in French with Oxford Learning methodologies, and providing post‑lesson notes and daily updates. The ideal candidate has a relevant education background and strong bilingual communication.

Qualifications

• CEGEP, Bachelor’s degree, or comparable certification.
• Teaching certification is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of the current French curriculum.
• Experience teaching French for Grades 1–11 (or equivalent).
• Strong English written and oral communication.
• Strong French skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
• Ability to multitask with up to three students at a time.

• Conduct lessons in French, following Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Explain and guide students through the provided material.
• Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
• Teach both online and in‑person as required.

Job Details

Employment Type: Part Time
Pay: $16.60 to $17.50 per hour

Location: Oxford Learning Dollard des Ormeaux, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec
Schedule: After‑school, evenings (3:30 pm–8:00 pm) and Saturdays (9:00 am–1:00 pm).

Qualifications

• CEGEP, Bachelor’s degree, or comparable certification
• Teaching certification is an asset
• Good knowledge of the current French curriculum
• Experience teaching/tutoring French for Grades 1–11 (or equivalent)
• Strong English written and oral communication skills
