Job summary

Oxford Learning Dollard des Ormeaux is seeking a part‑time French tutor to help students turn Je ne sais pas into Oh là là and support their French education outside the classroom.

Tutors teach in small groups (up to three students) with curriculum and lesson plans provided, guiding students through material in French. After‑school/evening hours apply, including Saturdays, with a pay rate of $16.60–$17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Excellent spoken and written French and English.
• Experience teaching or tutoring French to Grade 1–11 students.
• Good knowledge of the current French curriculum.
• Ability to multitask with up to three students at a time.

French Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Eager to help students turn “Je ne sais pas” into “Oh la la” and support children’s French education outside the classroom? Join the team at Oxford Learning Dollard des Ormeaux as a part‑time French tutor and gain valuable teaching experience.

We teach students how to learn French by improving their academic and study skills in small‑group settings. Class sizes are limited to a maximum of three students per teacher. All curriculum and lesson plans are provided; tutors guide students through the material in French.

Position Requirements

All teachers work after‑school and evening hours (3:30 pm – 8:00 pm) and Saturdays (9:00 am – 1:00 pm). A commitment through the end of the school year is preferred; summer continuation is even better. Candidates must provide excellent spoken and written French and English and be comfortable teaching to Grade 9 (up to Grade 11 preferred).

Qualifications

• CEGEP, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field
• Teaching certification an asset
• Good knowledge of the current French curriculum
• Experience teaching or tutoring French to Grade 1–11 students
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English
• Strong French skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
• Ability to multitask with up to three students at a time

Schedule: Evenings (Monday‑Thursday) and Saturday availability
