Job summary

Equifax in Toronto is seeking an experienced Fraud Analyst to identify, review and mitigate risks associated with new credit applications and existing accounts. You will partner with client teams and internal fraud, risk and product groups to implement effective controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fraud experience in detection and investigation.
• 3-5 years in customer service or client-facing roles within financial services or related sectors.
• Knowledge of AML and FINTRAC.
• Experience with fraud case management systems.
• Ability to review and interpret credit bureau reports and fraud tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate fraud alerts triggered by new applications.
• Review application documents provided by applicants.
• Partner with internal client departments such as credit risk and fraud strategy.
• Confirm or clear fraud alerts on new applications.
• Review, maintain and optimize fraud alert rules.
• Generate performance reports for leadership.
• Report fraud trends to enrich consortium data.
• Present findings to leadership with process-improvement recommendations.
