Job summary

Kibbi is seeking a skilled carpenter to work on construction sites across Calgary and surrounding areas. The role involves outdoor work across various locations, installing and assembling wood and light steel structures, reading blueprints, and ensuring compliance with building codes.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of carpentry experience, can read drawings, and is comfortable in a fast-paced outdoor environment. This permanent, full-time position offers diverse site work and steady hours.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of carpentry experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Wamiliar with building codes and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
