Job summary

Stella-Jones Inc. seeks a Production Labourer to assist in branding, framing, inspecting and preparing wood products for treatment. The role involves hands-on general labour, operating chainsaws and mill equipment, banding and packaging, and maintaining tools and work areas.

Candidates should have manufacturing or construction experience, be able to lift up to 75 lbs, and work outdoors in all weather. In-house training is provided to develop needed forestry skills.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or construction experience preferred.
• Experience utilizing hand tools—drills, peaveys, chainsaws, wizards, hammers, tape measures, etc.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Always demonstrate a strong focus on safety.
• Support a respectful environment and works well in a team setting.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs continually.
• Knowledge of wood products and defects.
• Able to learn and acquire new skills.
• In-house training is provided.

• Operate mill equipment
• Banding/packaging
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies and work areas.
• Working outside in all weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
