Job summary

McMan Calgary is seeking foster parents to provide love, stability, and care for vulnerable babies, children and youth in Calgary and surrounding areas. Foster caregivers engage with the biological families and siblings, supporting trauma‑informed care and ongoing development.

Applicants should be at least 18, have a suitable home, a reliable insured vehicle, and be able to pass background checks. Training and licensing steps are outlined, with dedicated support from a foster care worker.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Canadian citizenship or permanent residency status in Canada.
• Own or rent your own home.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the emotional, social, educational, and physical needs of the child(ren) in your care.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to create and implement a care plan that supports each child’s goals and development.
• Facilitate and support family connections when appropriate, as directed by the case team.
• Participate fully in the reunification process.
• Commit to ongoing learning and professional development, including attending training to ensure you are equipped to provide trauma‑informed care.
• Maintain documentation and reporting in accordance with McMan Calgary’s policies and guidelines.
