Job summary

AIM Recycling, a division of American Iron and Metal (AIM), is a family-owned Canadian company and a leading metal recycler. We are currently seeking a Forklift Operator for our Montréal-Est site.

This permanent full-time role offers a stable daytime schedule (Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm), competitive salary, group insurance, RRSP with employer contributions, EAP and 24/7 telemedicine, and new steel-toe safety boots on hire.

Qualifications

• Valid and up-to-date forklift operator card.
• At least two years of forklift operating experience.
• Commitment to working safely and ability to work in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the machinery at the beginning of the shift and report any issues.
• Load and unload trailers and other transport vehicles.
• Safely move materials using a forklift.
• Prepare orders according to established instructions.
• Supply the sorting machine to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist the sorter by placing materials on pallets or in boxes.
• Identify materials and enter data into the system to ensure inventory accuracy.
