Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions is recruiting for a Shipper & Receiver/Forklift role in Milton, ON. The incumbent will handle material movement, packaging and related tasks, operating Crown Double Deep Reach and counterbalance forklifts as required.

Key duties include equipment inspections, safety compliance, inventory maintenance and accurate paperwork for shipments. Strong teamwork and communication are essential, with a baseline of 1 year forklift experience and ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year current forklift experience.
• Experience driving Crown & Double Deep Reach equipment.
• Knowledge of Automated Shipping Systems / RF Technology.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre-shift inspections of lifting equipment and report hazards.
• Follow health, safety and food safety procedures.
• Ensure PPE is worn while working.
• Operate warehouse material handling equipment safely.
• Load/unload containers or trucks and move products by hand or with counterbalance or Crown Reach forklift.
• Move product onto/off moving trucks and complete relevant paperwork.
• Maintain stock and storage areas; identify, label and track inventory.
• Locate materials by pulling and verifying against production orders.
• Communicate shipment discrepancies to Supply Chain and Production.
• Sort, pack, weigh, and count materials; ensure proper product rotation.
• Verify pallets with correct Pallet ID, Lot and Item Code; report changes.
• May perform other duties like opening containers and assisting in inventory.
• Attend Food and Health & Safety training.

Shipping & Receiving – Forklift Crown, Double Deep Reach

We have an opportunity for an experienced Shipper & Receiver/Forklift to join the operations team. The Shipper & Receiver/Forklift Operator is responsible for performing material handling, clean-up, and packaging and other elemental activities related to Warehouse & Distribution requirements. They operate forklifts, Counterbalance, Crown Double Deep Reach and other machinery to move items, and materials on and off trucks and loading docks. Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean. Open containers, sort, and catalog materials. Adheres and complies with all workplace and food safety regulations.

Functions & Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily pre-shift inspections of assigned lifting equipment and report any hazards
2. Follow all applicable occupational health and safety and food safety procedures
3. Ensure proper protective equipment (PPE) is always worn while working
4. Operates warehouse material handling equipment in a safe manner
5. Load, unload containers or trucks and move products and materials by hand or using counterbalance, Crown Reach forklift, or basic material handling equipment
6. Move product onto and off moving trucks, stages finished product, completes relevant paperwork
7. Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and or material storage area
8. Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages
9. Locates materials/supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
10. Communicate shipment discrepancies to Supply Chain and Production Department upon detection
11. Performs material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking, order picking and ensure proper product in rotation
12. Verifies pallets being delivered are using correct Pallet ID, Lot and Item Code and communicating unforeseen changes due to customer requests
13. May perform other activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials
14. Attends all Food and Health & Safety training

What you bring:

1. Minimum of 1 years of current Forklift
2. Experience driving, Crown & Double Deep Reach
3. Knowledge of Automated Shipping Systems / RF Technology
4. Strong communication skills including the ability to work independently or within a team environment
5. Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting – up to 35lbs
