Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions in Brampton, ON is seeking an experienced Shipper & Receiver/Forklift Operator to perform material handling, packing, and inventory tasks in our warehouse. You will operate Walkie and other equipment, maintain clean work areas, follow safety procedures, and support shipping and receiving activities while meeting production deadlines.

The role includes daily shifts from 6:30am to 3:00pm, competitive base pay of 20–22 CAD per hour, paid vacation, and free parking.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• At least 3 months forklift experience ORDER PICKER & FALL ARREST and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
• Must be able to lift and/or pull 50 lbs without restriction.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Must have Excel knowledge plus general computer knowledge.
• Ability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Forklift – ORDER PICKER

We have an opportunity for an experienced Shipper & Receiver/Forklift to join the operations team. The Shipper & Receiver/Forklift Operator is responsible for performing material handling, clean-up, and packaging and other elemental activities related to Warehouse & Distribution requirements. They operate Walkie, and other machinery to move items, and materials on and off trucks and loading docks. Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean. Open containers, sort, and catalog materials. Adheres and complies with all workplace and food safety regulations.

Functions & Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily pre-shift inspections of assigned lifting equipment and report any hazards
2. Follow all applicable occupational health and safety and food safety procedures
3. Ensure proper protective equipment (PPE) is always worn while working
4. Operates warehouse material handling equipment in a safe manner
5. Pick orders (SKU’S) using Crown Order picker
6. Move product onto and off racking, stages finished product, completes relevant paperwork
7. Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and or material storage area
8. Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages
9. Locates materials/supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
10. Communicate shipment discrepancies to Supply Chain and Production Department upon detection
11. Performs material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking, order picking using RF scanners and ensure proper product in rotation
12. Verifies pallets being delivered are using correct Pallet ID, Lot and Item Code and communicating unforeseen changes due to customer requests

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using a forklift, Order Picker, push-pull equipment.
2. Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations
3. Pulls and prepares products for shipment
4. Ensures that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
5. Performs picking duties in an efficient manner meeting customer service standards
6. Moves product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers
7. Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
8. Maintains appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security
9. Assists in physical inventories
10. Ensures proper stock rotation
11. Conducts cycle counts as requested
12. Must have Excel knowledge plus general computer knowledge.
13. Basic safety understanding in operating equipment
14. Responsible for reporting safety concerns to management in a timely manner
15. Report inventory discrepancies to inventory control team and assists in resolution
16. Must be able to complete inspection form prior operating equipment
17. Must be able to use RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory

Skill/Experience/Education

7. Walking in the DC and around area with great frequency, facilities are over a quarter mile in length.
8. Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of building without limitations.
9. Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
10. Must have attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and basic math skills
