Job summary

Canadian Executive Search Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for a local food processing facility in Chatham-Kent. Immediate start. Schedule runs Monday through Saturday with straight days (7:00 am to 3:30 pm) or straight afternoons (3:30 pm to 12:00 am).

Position is temporary to permanent, full-time (40+ hours weekly) with wage of $20.00 per hour. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, shipping/receiving, internal transport, and ensuring safety standards and production schedules are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Forklift certification is preferred or required by the employer.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and physical fitness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, ship, and receive warehouse items.
• Transport materials within the facility.
• Optimize loads for efficiency and safety.
• Pick and wrap orders for shipment.

Responsibilities:

• Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
• Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
• Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
• Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
• Identifying workplace safety hazards.
• Adhering to safety management standards.
• Adhering to production schedules.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid fork-lifting certificate 2 > years experience preferred.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Proficiency in operating technical machinery.
• Good physical condition.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.
