Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator for the second shift in Milton, Ontario, Canada. The role runs Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at a pay rate of $23.50 per hour.

Primary duties include operating powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products, and checking inbound and outbound items for damage and accuracy. OSHA/MSDS compliance and inventory accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator certificate or training completed within first 30 days of employment.
• Six months forklift operation experience.
• Six months warehouse experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using forklift or power equipment for 80% of shift.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment with exact quantity and type loaded.
• Keep records and reports for inventory accuracy.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy, count, stability and damage; report variances.
• Change batteries or LP tanks as needed and monitor power source.
• Maintain equipment and materials in neat, clean, orderly condition.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Complete daily equipment inspections.

Job description

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator for a second shift position in Milton, ON, Canada. The shift runs Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, at a pay rate of $23.50 per hour.

Role Purpose: Responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are properly recorded, and products match customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment for 80% of specified shift
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards
• Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage; report variances as necessary
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary
• Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
• Assist in physical inventories
• Complete daily inspection of equipment

Required Education and Experience

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift training program within the first 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience
