J.S. Held LLC in Alberta seeks an Architectural Technologist to lead drafting design for restoration of structures after disasters, working on site and in office with Project Managers.

You will obtain measurements, develop structural drawings in Revit, and ensure compliance with building codes and company standards. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, manage time to meet deadlines, and participate in continuing professional development while promoting safety and effective

Formación

• 2+ years of direct experience in structural design, with wood frame construction.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and CAD software.
• Familiarity with the Alberta Building Code.
• Strong technical acumen and ability to oversee projects.
• Team-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain architectural and structural measurements and prepare rough sketches on site.
• Research failure modes and code requirements; prepare reports and permit drawings.
• Develop structural design and drafting of detailed restoration drawings using Revit.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company expectations.
• Review and validate drawings for quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and engage with clients and contractors.
• Manage time to meet strict deadlines and document billable hours accurately.
• Promote safety protocols and participate in ongoing professional development.
