Job Description

We are seeking a Civil/Structural Forensic Engineer to join our Forensics team. This role offers an entrepreneurial, highly driven opportunity whose responsibilities extend beyond those of a traditional Civil/Structural Forensic Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of valuation, flexibility, and strategic thinking to tackle a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct field observations, inspections, data collection, interviews, and document assessment.
  • Prepare forensic investigation reports detailing observations, tests, and results for residential and commercial losses.
  • Review legal documents, pleadings, contracts, etc. to identify underlying issues and factual evidence.
  • Work with the forensic team and technicians to determine repair directives and develop repair drawings.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers in document review, root‑cause analysis, and standard of care assessment for large construction projects.
  • Conduct research and develop technical topics for publication and presentation.
  • Engage in client‑relations marketing and meet with peers and clients.
  • Maintain high standards and ensure quality of deliverables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • P.Eng license in good standing (required).
  • 5–10 years of experience as an engineer (required).
  • Experience conducting damage assessments and forensic investigations (plus).
  • Experience in engineering design or construction (required).
  • Testimony experience as an engineering expert witness (plus).
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A desire to learn, excel, and grow within the profession.
