Job summary

J.S. Held LLC in Vancouver is seeking a skilled professional to join our team of engineers, architects, technologists and creatives. You will review drawings for Building Code compliance, prepare compliant drawings and reports, and conduct on-site field reviews across Canada with a hybrid Vancouver office schedule.

We offer growth opportunities, training, and a flexible work environment. Travel within Canada is expected, and a BC driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Graduated Technician or Technologist with focus in Architectural and Building Technologies.
• Experience in Civil, Mechanical and Structural disciplines is an asset.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to read and interpret building design drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review design drawings, shop drawings for Building Code Compliance.
• Prepare Code compliance drawings, reports, letters and alternative solutions.
• Conduct site reviews and prepare field review reports.
• Attend meetings, presentations and occupancy demonstrations.
