Job description

Brandt is currently seeking a Shop Foreman for our Calgary Material Handling location. The successful applicant for this position will be responsible for the daily organization and dispatch of technicians, providing quality repair work for the Material Handling Service Department, advising and making recommendations to the Service Manager regarding technician skills and training needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the organization of the work performed and quality control
• Supervise the work of service technicians
• Booking and Maintaining Preventative Maintenance Contracts
• Maintain an organized, clean work environment
• Advise and mentor technicians
• Commitment to customer service and service excellence
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and other branch personnel
• Establish & maintain an on-call field schedule
• Converse with the customers and operators on the phone, email, or in person
• Manage costs and ensure profitability of the department
• Opening and closing work orders, preparing work orders for warranty
• Other duties as required
