Job summary

BayCare Health System in SJH is seeking a dedicated team member for our Food and Nutrition Services to provide excellent patient and guest meals, maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen, and support catering events. The role requires flexible availability including nights and weekends.

You will collaborate with hospital staff to ensure timely delivery of trays and meals, with emphasis on safety and quality in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills are essential for working with patients, guests and team members.
• Strong written and verbal communication is required to coordinate with hospital staff.
• Customer service skills are needed to assist patients and families effectively.
• Basic computer skills are expected for tasks such as order entry and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide food service to patients, guests or customers and maintain a clean, sanitary and safe food production environment.
• May prepare food or drinks, assemble and deliver patient trays or catering events and perform daily cleaning of dishes and work areas.
• Receive and store food and supplies using FIFO principles and liaise between patients, guests, physicians and Food and Nutrition Services.

BayCare is currently in search of our newest Team Member who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our patients, team members, and families by joining our food services team.

This position requires flexible work availability including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide food service to patients, guests or customers. Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe food production environment. May prepare food or drink items, assemble and deliver patient trays or catering events and perform daily cleaning of dishes and work areas. Receive and store food and supply deliveries using FIFO principles. Act as a liaison between, patients, guests, physicians, other hospital personnel and Food and Nutrition Services. Perform other duties as assigned.
