Job summary

Mountain View Seniors Housing in Alberta is hiring a Food Services staff for day shifts from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm to support lodge residents with meals and food preparation.

You will maintain cleanliness of food service areas, assist with dishwashing, and report to the Dietary Supervisor and Site General Manager.

Applicants should have kitchen experience, hygiene standards, and a current First Aid/CPR certification; criminal record check required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen; food safety knowledge is an asset.
• Physically able to lift, bend and perform repetitive tasks.
• High standard of hygiene and appearance.

Job Description

MAIN DUTIES:

• Directly responsible to the Dietary Supervisor of the assigned Lodge and the Site General Manager.
• Food service and food preparation for Lodge residents.
• Dishwashing and general cleanliness of Food Service areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A positive rapport with seniors, friendly and helpful team player.
• A flexible, willing and positive attitude.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen and, Food Safety knowledge and training would be assets.
• Must be physically able to perform lifting, bending and repetitive tasks.
• A high standard of hygiene and personal appearance.
• Completed current First Aid and Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Must be renewed every three years.
• Must have a clear and current criminal record check.

SCHEDULE:

• Hours of work: 7:00 am to 2:00 pm
• 14 shifts / 98 hours on a 28-day rotation, 0.61 FTE
• This position works 2 weekends per rotation
• Schedule: 4 days on / 5 days off, 5 days on / 4 days off on a rotational basis
