Schedule: Wednesday: As Needed, Thursday: 8a-4p, Friday: 11a-8p, Saturday: 8a-4p

The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising inmate labor and team members assisting with food service in a correctional facility. This role involves preparing and serving food according to menus and work instructions, using various food prep utensils and machines.

Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and team members during food prep and service
• Prepare and instruct on food preparation according to menus and recipes
• Ensure proper storage and sanitation of food
• Serve food according to schedules and policies
• Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment properly
• Follow food safety regulations
• Train other food service workers
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
• Follow uniform and safety policies
• Manage waste and cleanliness of kitchen environment
• Ensure proper portioning and serving utensils
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
• Perform other duties as assigned
