The County of Bruce is seeking applications for Food Service Workers at Brucelea Haven Long-Term Care Home in Walkerton, Ontario. Reporting to the Dietary Services Manager, this position is key to the facility, preparing and serving meals to the residents of the home in a pleasant and respectful manner. Weekend and shift work is required.
Education & Experience
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Current enrollment, or completion of the Food Service Worker Certificate
• Safe Food Handling Certification
• Food service experience, preferably in an institutional setting, is preferred.
Skills & Abilities
• Mature, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision
• Able to work within a team environment
• Genuine interest in the well-being of the elderly
• Demonstrated patience, adaptability and flexibility
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to lift objects up to 50 lbs
• Clear criminal background check including vulnerable sector screening
• Two-step TB skin test
• Competitive Wages: $25.74 per hour
