About This Position

Schedule: Wednesday: As Needed, Thursday: 8a-4p, Friday: 11a-8p, Saturday: 8a-4p

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with food service in a correctional facility. Responsibilities include preparing and serving various food items according to work instructions and menus, utilizing food preparation utensils and machines.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and team members during food prep and service
• Prepare or instruct on food preparation following menus and recipes
• Ensure proper and sanitary storage of food
• Serve food according to schedules and policies
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment properly
• Follow food safety regulations
• Train other food service workers
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
• Follow uniform policy
• Manage waste and keep kitchen clean
• Ensure proper portions and utensils are used
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, standing for long periods
• Perform other duties as assigned
