The Bus Person is responsible for assisting in serving meals, preparing eating areas, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining rooms.
High School diploma or equivalent.
WHMIS, First Aid, Food Safe certification, Criminal Record Check
At least three months of related experience, including institutional kitchen experience or equivalent.
Frequent standing, manipulating foods, moderate lifting, cutting, chopping, carrying supplies, walking. Must be able to lift more than 20 pounds.
Attention to safety procedures, moderate focus when serving and cleaning dishes and equipment.
Minimal to no financial responsibilities.
Responsible for own effort and time; may demonstrate work methods to new employees.
Kitchen setting in a ministry or social services facility, with potential conditions such as dealing with angry individuals, verbal abuse, crowded spaces, and pressure with timelines.
Possible exposure to physical attacks, toxic chemicals, moving or sharp objects, electrical hazards, injuries from lifting, slippery floors, cuts, burns, and freezer entry.
Use of universal precautions, rubber mats, protective coats, gloves, hepatitis B immunization, and tuberculosis vaccination.
Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, or as required.
