Job summary

Interior Health is seeking a Food Service Worker to join our Support Services Team at Princeton General Hospital in Princeton, BC. The role involves portioning and serving meals in a dining/cafeteria setting and supporting meal assembly and delivery activities in a fast-paced environment.

This is a Casual opportunity, with shifts ranging days to evenings rotating 06:00–13:00 and 11:30–18:30. The team offers employee benefits, training opportunities, and a supportive work culture in a picturesque

Responsibilities

• Portioning and serving meals and beverages within a dining room and/or cafeteria operation.
• Counts, weighs and/or measures ingredients for assigned food preparation area.
• Washing and peeling vegetables and fruit.
• Assembles beverages and food items – tea, coffee, sandwiches, salads, bag lunches, items for Meals on Wheels program.
• Setting up and delivering meal carts.
• Cleaning of food service areas.

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as‑needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and evenings rotating from 06:00 to 13:00, 11:30 to 18:30 hours.
