Job summary

Interior Health Authority in Invermere, BC is seeking a Food Service Worker to join the Support Services Team at Invermere District Hospital. You will portion and serve meals, assist in dining room operations, and help with food preparation and clean-up in a fast-paced environment.

Casual employment is on an as-needed basis (0–37.5 hours per week), offering flexible scheduling, paid training opportunities, and access to IH benefits and pension programs.

Responsibilities

  • Portioning and serving meals and beverages within a dining room and/or cafeteria operation.
  • Counts, weighs and/or measures ingredients for assigned food preparation area.
  • Washing and peeling vegetables and fruit.
  • Assembles beverages and food items - tea, coffee, sandwiches, salads, bag lunches, items for Meals on Wheels program.
  • Setting up and delivering meal carts.
  • Cleaning of food service areas.
