Job summary

The Chopped Leaf in Okotoks, AB is hiring for a full-time kitchen supervisor role. You will supervise and coordinate staff who prepare and portion food, estimate ingredients, and ensure food service quality. The position requires 1–2 years of experience and a high school diploma. 35 hours per week, start ASAP.

Work location is on-site with a fast-paced environment and supervision of 5–10 staff. The company offers a permanent, full-time opportunity in a busy Alberta setting.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school graduation certificate.
  • 1–2 years of experience in food service.
  • On-site kitchen environment with no remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies.
  • Ensure food service quality and safety while maintaining records.
  • Prepare and submit reports on stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures.

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience:

1 Year to less than 2 Years.

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Supervision:

5-10 people

Specific Skills:

Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, Estimate and order ingredients and supplies, Ensure food service and quality control, Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage, Prepare and submit reports.

Additional Skills:

Address customers’ complaints or concerns; Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures; Establish methods to meet work schedules.
